A lost backpack caused police to close Sunset Boulevard for 4 hours during the November 18 morning rush.
The backpack, sitting on the pavement at a parking lot between Crescent Heights and Laurel Canyon boulevards, caused alarm as a “suspicious package,” Patch reports.
An LAPD bomb squad came in to investigate, but found no explosives. Sunset was reopened by noon.
If a backpack in a parking lot can shut down Sunset for an entire morning, just think of what the Archer Expansion project is going to do.
